Introduction:

Advocacy Q+ offers various programs, events, and research opportunities to engage with our

community and further our mission of fostering equity across South Carolina. This document

outlines the registration process, participant responsibilities, and our commitment to

safeguarding your information.

Programs and Events Requiring Registration:

• Participants may need to register for the following:

• Educational Outreach Programs: Includes classes for GED, SAT, and GRE prep; ESL

  and Spanish classes; and skill-building workshops.

• Community Engagement Events: Includes focus groups, ethnographic research studies, surveys, and community outreach events.

• Volunteer Opportunities: For individuals interested in supporting our mission through

  roles like Field Research Assistants or tutors.

Registration is required to ensure space availability, resource preparation, and effective communication.

• How to Register:

Online Registration:

• Participants can register for programs and events via the Advocacy Q+ website. Each program or event will have a dedicated registration form linked on the corresponding page.

Required Information:

Participants will typically need to provide:

• Full Name

• Contact Information (email address and phone number)

• Any relevant demographic or preference information for program customization

• Agreement to Advocacy Q+’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Participation

• Participant Responsibilities:

By registering for a program or event, participants agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.

• Notify Advocacy Q+ of any cancellations or changes to attendance as soon as possible.

• Respect the guidelines and rules provided for each event or program.

• Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in removal from the program or event.

• Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • Advocacy Q+ programs and events are free unless otherwise stated.

  • If an event has associated fees, refunds will only be issued if cancellations are made at least 72 hours prior to the start of the event.

• Safeguarding Your Information:

We are committed to protecting your personal information during the registration process. All data collected will be used solely for program facilitation and improvement, and we will never share your information without your consent. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

• Registrations for Minors:

For participants under 18 years of age, parental or guardian consent is required. Parents or guardians must complete the registration process on behalf of the minor.

• Confirmation of Registration:

  Once you have successfully registered, you will receive:

  • An email confirmation with event or program details.

  • Any materials or instructions needed for participation (where applicable).
